1800flowers and the Color of Love

It may be winter, and there may be snow on the ground, but there is magic in the air. It's February folks, and that means love, candy, and flowers. No one does flowers better, and easier than 1800Flowers, and I love getting the beautiful vases and packages they have. Keepsake vases or utilitarian ones like coffee mugs are great because they remind me all year long of the special feeling I had when I got it. That's what Valentine's Day is all about, right? Remembering the feeling of love, you have for that special someone.

If I had to pick a favorite flower, and it's hard, I'd pick roses. I suppose roses are everyone's favorite flowers when it comes to love, and they are an overall favorite for most in all categories. There is something special about a rose. They are delicate, yet hardy at the same time. They come in a huge variety of colors, and even shapes, and they smell exquisite. What I find the most intriguing about roses is the fact that each color has a special, traditional meaning that goes along with it. We're almost all familiar with red for love, but all of the colors tells the recipient something special. One thing's for sure, you better know the meaning of the color before you send them or you may end up in hot water.
